Bella Dominicana is a blend of multiple tobaccos, produced by Bella Dominicana Cigar factory, that brings to the taste rich notes and flavors, we combined a Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Dominican binder with Dominican Seco, Dominican Viso Criollo 98 and Nicaraguan Viso.

The winds play a very important role when growing tobacco.  The winds tell us when the best time to grow and where the best places to grow tobacco.  When we looked through history, we found the Greeks understood the importance of wind as well. The Greeks had wind gods, and they were called Anemoi.  Each direction had its own god.  Boreas (North), Notos (South), Eurus (East) and Zephyrus (West).   Each wind direction will help create a great crop or a bad one.  Because of this we thought it was fitting to finally pay our respects.

Turning 85 is a big deal, and we at Tabacalera Palma wanted to do something just as exciting to commemorate this incredible feat. When we sat down to think of ways to accurately convey what this occasion meant to us, we both decided to consult our fathers. My father revisited dozens of scribbles and stand-alone paragraphs in my grandfather’s notebooks and reexamined the tobacco growing and processing wisdom of two generations, along with the cigar manufacturing wisdom of one generation. I borrowed my father’s wisdom after bribing him with some cheap whiskey.
